Free Apps for Education

Hi friends!

I know you are busy at the start of the school year. Me, too! Today at our library training, we received a library iPad with training on how to use it. And one of the best things about an iPad is FREE APPS!

But how do you find the free apps? Two options (that I just learned about a few hours ago). . .

One, you can download the app called Appsfire from the app store. This is a free app, and when you open it, you can see ALL of the apps that are free on that particular day, by category.

Then you can download the free stuff that looks good. But you'll have to download it that day, because free doesn't last forever!

If you want to refine your feed of free apps, then follow TCEA (Texas Computer Educators Association, I think) on Twitter.

You don't have to wear a pocket protector, or even live in Texas. But if you follow tcea on Twitter, you'll receive their updates on EDUCATIONAL free apps for your iPad. Like this:

So, if you have an iPad for school, and you are watching your pennies, check these out!
