Comics Library Center

Do your students love graphic novels? Mine do! Babymouse rarely makes it back to the shelf before someone else checks her out!
I saw these printables and thought they might be a great way to get students writing.

This is just one example of over 100 FREE printables at Make Believe Comix. As you can see, the printable pages have comic-style artwork, with a writing prompt.
I can easily see the fun of the illustrations capturing my students' attention. My young writers could add to the picture or simply color it.  They would be enthusiastic about having an illustrated piece of writing, instead of a plain ole piece of notebook paper, when they finish.
I really like this. Do you think it would encourage YOUR young writers?
